About Us

The department of Economics was establish in 1976 and Dr. R.D. Gupta a well known academicians was the first who headed the department and presently Prof. Anita Dagar is heading the department. This Department has its credit of being served by academicians like Prof. Nandwani, Prof. S.P. Dahiya, Prof. Surender Kumar, Prof. S.K. Bedi, Prof. Rajender Chaudhary, Prof. Kailash Saraf, Prof. Y.S. Dahiya, Prof. D.C. Vashish and Prof. A.S. Rana.

Curriculum Aspects:-

• Employability is very much there in curricular design. Our syllabi are revised according to UGC Curriculum and according to need of time.

• More emphasis is given on National Development by Field work (5 years Integrated Course), related dissertation topics at M.Phil level and research (Ph.D) on National Development Programmes etc.

• Women issues are there in the curriculum paper of Gender Economics, and research on Gender related problems are the examples of this.
