About Us

The Department of Environmental Science came into existence in July 2009 and is now running two P.G. courses namely M.Sc. Environmental Sciences, M.Sc. Environmental Biotechnology (Introduced in 2010) and Doctoral programme in various fields of environment viz. Biofuels, bioremediation, environmental pollution, soil microbiology etc. The department is actively involved in research and has research projects funded by various agencies. The departmental received development funds under DST-FIST programme and UGC-innovative programme. There are seven regular teaching faculty members in addition there are four non teaching staff.
