The Centre for Maharshi Dayanand & Vedic Studies, established in July 2020, is a dedicated academic and research centre committed to the promotion, preservation, and contemporary relevance of India’s rich Vedic and philosophical heritage. The Centre aligns its vision with the transformative goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, integrating traditional knowledge systems with modern academic frameworks.
Vision and Objectives
The Centre has been established with the following core objectives:
- Academic Enrichment under NEP 2020
To provide structured educational support for teaching value-added courses in the Ancient Indian Knowledge System (IKS), thereby fostering holistic and multidisciplinary learning. - Research and Scholarly Advancement
To promote, facilitate, and undertake advanced research in:
- Vedic Literature
- Indian Philosophy
- Dayanand Studies
The Centre aspires to emerge as a leading platform for critical inquiry and scholarly engagement in these domains.
- Ethical and Cultural Development
To supervise and monitor the activities of the University Yajnashala, ensuring that these practices contribute to the inculcation of ethical values, discipline, and cultural awareness among students.
Academic Programmes
At present, the Centre offers:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Karmakand
A specialized programme focusing on the theory and practice of Vedic rituals and traditions. - Value-Added Courses
Designed to introduce students to foundational aspects of Indian knowledge traditions:
- Introduction to Indian Knowledge System
- Introduction to Indian Logic
- Philosophy of Dayanand
