About Us

Department of Computer Science & Applications was established in 1990 under the Faculty of Physical Science with only one course i.e. Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications. From that day, Department has shown a commendable progress and now offering MCA, MSC (Computer Science) &Ph.D(Computer Science) courses to the students. Department is one of the pioneer Department of the University and has touched almost every aspect of academics & extracurricular activities.Department has proven its potential in research domain also with premium publications in SCI, SCOPUS, Web of Sciences indexed & many other reputed journals. Department also has handsome number of books edited & written by worthy faculty members referred country wide in almost every University. There are 10 regular Teaching Faculty members including two Professors & eight Assistant Professors.

Entering the DCSA as a lateral entry in MCA was not an easy task but the constant support of Professor made sure that all the new members were getting well along with other students as well as they don't face any issue in their course related things, whether it was notes, concepts and assignments everything was explained to us very clearly. The lecturers are very knowledgeable, you can't risk to bunk a single lecture unneccessarily , else the flow can break in your mind. Being in the department not only helped me in increasing my logical skills but also encouraged me to take care of coding standards in aspect of programming that proved very helpful after getting placed those were not only theoretical points that are considered while real development very much. I was also encouraged to take part in different activities rather than my course ciriculum like fest , event celebrations, event oraganization , quizes ,ppts etc. My overall experience of DCSA MDU was very good , the 1.5 years spent in the department had a very positive effect on my career.
