The Department of Biochemistry imparts and disseminates the knowledge of the molecular basis of life and works on the interfacial areas of research. Department will emphasize on excellence in interdisciplinary research to produce highly skilled manpower through:

- Provide knowledge with foundation in Biochemistry to pursuit career in research, industry, education and other interdisciplinary research.
- Research programs for developing products of research and training including human resources, high impact publications and patents
- Provide cutting age subject knowledge, practical expertise with advanced research infrastructure to investigate solutions for the real-world problems utilizing all areas of modern biochemistry
